We are working with one of the most established civil and structural engineering consultancies in the South West, assisting them in their search for a drainage Engineer with residential development experience.

Several offices across the South of England housing a multidisciplinary team covering; Civil and Structural Engineering, Transport Planning, Geo-Environmental Engineering. The Exeter office is based in a convenient location with free parking and has a team numbering around 20. The company has a real focus on a healthy work-life balance and as such operates a flexible working policy.
With a number of chartered engineers in place, the team is well placed to support the development of Graduate Civil Engineers. There are training agreements in place with the ICE, in addition any relevant training will also be provided when necessary or requested.
The team actively encourages attending networking and industry events, the business takes pride in involving itself in the local market whether it be working on local projects or fundraising for good causes.
 The Role:
Currently looking for an Graduate Civil Engineer for a busy civil engineering team, based in the Exeter Office.  It is essential that the candidate will be capable of working well within a team environment.  They will have excellent mathematical and technical skills, and willing to learn the  relevant  software  and  standards  for  the  production  of  quality  detailed designs, ensuring that engineering solutions produced comply with current design and construction standards, applicable legislation and client expectations; and are delivered in accordance with the agreed timescales.
Civil engineering design and drafting functions will be primarily in the field of highways, drainage, utilities and earthworks and specific experience of the following is desirable:

The role is full time for 37.5 hours per week and the successful candidate will have the option to work from home 2/3 days a week as their experience grows

THE INDIVIDUAL:
You will have a relevant civil engineering degree and be keen to work toward chartered status/ Â You will be able to work both under supervision and on your own initiative and be able to take tasks of ad-hoc nature in your stride. The position will require an individual who is organised, numerically literate and analytical, has an attention for detail and takes a professional pride in the quality and delivery of their of their work and that of their team.
