Associate Structural Engineer

Unique role in with fantastic business in Cardiff!

This is a fresh and rare opportunity to join a leading local practice at a senior level. This business has offices across the region and specialise in Civil and Structural Engineering, they are involved in several high profile local projects and have a healthy share of the local market. Projects immediately in immediate pipeline range from £6m to £100m and include:

• Multi-storey RC frames
• Police stations
• Education projects both new build and refurb
• Cutting edge contemporary innovation centres both local and national
• Student accommodation
• Residential developments
• A major super market chain including their commercial buildings

Responsibilities:

• Leading design team of structural engineers and cad technicians
• Building and maintaining relationships with key clients
• Ensuring timely technical delivery
• Supporting the regional Director in the smooth day to day running of the office
• Business development (this can be introduced gradually for less experienced candidates)
• Attending networking events and helping to build the companies profile
• Managing key client relationships
• Aiding in the development of the team and recruitment process

This opportunity requires an experienced structural engineer to join at a Principal and Associate level with the view of taking responsibility for the technical delivery of structural engineering projects.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has real personality, someone who can manage and develop relationships and is happy to represent the business at local industry events. Experience working with larger contractors and comprehensive knowledge of the construction process will be key. Home working is on offer with up to 3 days working from home with two sets of hardware provided by the company.

This roles comes with excellent remuneration including a salary of £55,000 – £60,000, 27 days holiday rising with service, private healthcare and a great company pension.
