Senior Technician – Civils

Our busy multi-disciplinary teams works on a diverse range of projects and we are looking for someone to provide technical CAD and design support. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved on a number of land development projects including Residential, Mixed Use Developments and Highway Improvement schemes.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare civil engineering designs, plans and drawings, and input to reports
• Design of earthworks, highways, pavement and drainage
• Support in the development of junior team members
• Assist with technical approval submissions and preparation of construction details
• Use of CAD (2D and 3D)
• Undertaking 3D engineering design modelling

Capabilities and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic team player and will have/be:
• HNC or HND qualified in civil engineering or equivalent
• Keen interest in civil infrastructure engineering
• Competency in computer aided drawing and the use of AutoCAD
• Experience of using Civils 3D and MicroDrainage (WinDes)
• Experience in the use of Autotrack and / or AutoSign
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative
• Work well within a team
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 depedning on experience
