RGB Network Looking for Junior Design Engineer (Glass) at North West London Full Time

We have a vacancy for a Junior Engineer that is passionate about progressing their career journey in a consultancy environment. Our client, the UK’s leading Architectural Glazing company, has an established training culture and operates under a structure of coaching, mentoring and collaboration.

They specialise in Glass design offering a range of products with this material such as: Sky-Frames, Glass Walls, Vertical Glazing, Glass Structures, Glass Innovation & Technology, Glass Roofs, Glass Floors, etc.

Prior knowledge designing with glass is not required as the company will provide training for this.

Duties:

• Production of detailed design work for Design & Principal Engineering Staff.
• Undertake elemental design tasks, which may include calculations, drawings, sketches, and reports.
• Work with CAD/Revit Technicians for production of projects drawings.
• Attend design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections.
• Take guidance from Senior Staff and contribute to overall project delivery/success.
• Ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and completed in accordance with design codes of practice.

The successful candidate:

• Ideally 6-18 months experience working in a consultancy environment.
• BEng/MEng in civil or structural engineering
• Effective time-management skills
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communicator and problem solver.
• Ability to liaise with members of design / construction teams.

Please be aware that you will not be able to achieve chartership with this company, but you will be trained by senior engineers with over 30’ years’ experience in the glass industry.
