FLOOD RISK CONSULTANT / DRAINAGE ENGINEER

This multi-disciplined engineering consultancy are looking for an ambitious Civil flood risk consultant/engineer to join their team in Manchester where they work with their key clients in the developer sector.  

This is an award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy that provides services across development planning, environment, landscape, and engineering. They have 60 staff across the business.

Civil flood risk consultant/ engineer role:

The Civil flood risk consultant/engineer will be responsible for the day-today running of projects, supporting clients and delivering positive outcomes. The engineer will be producing Flood Risk Assessments for a range of residential and commercial clients and producing appraisals and designs of drainage feasibility layouts.

Civil flood risk consultant/ engineer requirements:

• Bachelors (or Masters) Level Degree in relevant field. 
• Consultancy experience working in the UK development sector.
• Experience at designing SuDS to latest guidance.
• Proficient with the use of hydraulic drainage design software (Microdrainage / Causeway Flow) and AutoCAD.
• Some experience of 1D / 2D watercourse modelling software preferable (Flood Modeller or Estry / TUFLOW or HEC RAS).
• Some experience of hydrological modelling using the Flood Estimation Handbook preferable.
