Role Overview
Responsible for the design, delivery and execution of learning projects and activities to support the Firm’s Learning strategy, Pillar business objectives and the Firm’s overall business objectives.

Pillar leads, Pillar members, RPC Partners, EXCO, People & Talent Development Team, Business Services Departments
Reports to
Head of Learning & Development
Duties & Responsibilities include but not are limited to the following:
Pillar Learning Programmes

• Work with Pillar leads and Pillar Stakeholders to understand pillar business objectives and design, develop and execute Pillar Learning Strategies to support these objectives.
• Collaborate with Pillar leads and other stakeholders to ensure pillar learning projects progress as required.

Organisational Development

• Work with senior stakeholders at the firm to shape, advise on and execute organisational development projects, solve business problems and drive cultural change.

Strategy

• Inform the firm’s learning strategy by sharing with the Head of Learning insights, specialist knowledge and information gathered from stakeholders at every level across the firm.
• Define the strategy for Pillar learning programmes.

Design, Delivery and Review of Learning Programmes

• Establish learning needs to design, deliver, execute, project manage and review large and often complex learning programmes and activities to support the Learning Strategy.
• Specific responsibility for some of the team’s annual core learning programmes (Insight, LAMP etc)
• Use psychometric assessment and 360 tools to enhance learning programmes and deliver learning objectives.
• Coaching and Mentoring members of the firm as needed

Leadership / People Management

• Line Management responsibility for members of the Learning team
• Lead on pillar and firmwide learning projects as required

Assessment

• Assess candidates at RPC assessment centres including the Gateway programme (for high performing and high potential Senior Associates) and Trainee Assessment days.

Budget

• Set, manage and review the budget relating to their specific areas of responsibility
• Support the Head of Learning to manage the learning budget

Systems / Technology

• Work with the firm’s LMS to provide learning solutions and report on these
• Research and implement the latest learning technologies to provide innovative and varied learning solutions and work with suppliers and internal teams to implement these

Supplier Management

• Source training providers where external expertise is required
• Manage external providers to ensure they understand the culture and objectives of the firm
• Negotiate and agree fees and other terms of business

Regulatory

• Understand the firm’s regulatory and work with stakeholders to ensure compliance e.g. the SRA’s requirements for Continuing Competence, AML etc.
• Follow due diligence procedures with external suppliers to ensure they meet the Risk & Compliance regulations.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Experience

• Experience of working at Manager level in an L&D role in a Professional Services or Partnership environment

Qualities & Skills

• Has experience of working as an internal consultant and can work with senior stakeholders with diverse personalities to establish learning needs and provide solutions to meet business objectives
• Knows how to set strategies for and design, develop and facilitate large and often complex learning programmes
• Has a broad and deep knowledge of the full range of development solutions available and has demonstrable experience of designing innovative learning interventions to meet client needs
• Experienced facilitator who is comfortable delivering programmes to a wide range of audiences
• Is commercially aware and understands the legal / professional services sector
• Creative and innovative and able to push thinking forwards
• Influential, credible and impactful
• Team player – understands the value of effective team working
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong Communicator, Written and Oral
• Worked with E resources and used technology to achieve L&D objectives
