Summary of Responsibilities

This position is vital to the success of our clients and the growth of Reveal Business Solutions. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is early to mid-level in their career, well-versed in accounting and financial processes and regulations, is naturally well organized, enjoys working and improving systems, and has a high level of attention to detail. The Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant will be the first point of contact for assigned clients to serve their day-to-day accounting needs including invoicing, payables, and month-end close procedures. You will also provide bookkeeping support to clients managed by Senior Accountants. Experience with 1099, sales tax and strong knowledge of accrual basis and GAAP are essential to this position.

Essential Functions

• Manage client communication, requests and deadlines
• Provide accurate and timely client deliverables
• Record transactions (vendor bills, expenses, customer invoices, payments and deposits) in appropriate accounts in the right period using appropriate QBO form type.
• Record journal entries as appropriate including amortization of prepaids, recognition of deferred revenue, expense accruals, depreciate fixed assets, record payroll, etc.)
• Support new client onboarding to ensure seamless transition and high level of client satisfaction
• Maintains firm systems and follow internal policies and procedures

• High sense of urgency & accountable to internal budgets
• The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all transactional information for the business. This will include creating and reconciling all purchase orders, estimates, bills, invoices, and any reconciliations of the respective general ledger accounts.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus
• QuickBooks Online experience NECESSARY
• QuickBooks Online Certification required within 30 days of hire (paid training)
• QuickBooks Advanced Pro Advisor certification a plus
• 2-4 years of overall accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting terminology

• Experience with sales/use tax, personal property tax, preparing books for an external CPA audit or review a plus
• Non-compete, cannot offer similar services freelance

Compensation

• $52,000 – $60,300 annually, paid bi-weekly
• 5% client referral bonus
