Accountant I

The automobile transportation industry is continuing to move toward improved safety and driverless technology on our highways. That movement will demand innovation and capacity in the worldwide pavement markings market. Retro Industries is committed to meeting that demand with our startup operation in South Pittsburg. Join our team for a “ground floor” opportunity in this evolving market space.

The Accountant I position will support Retro Industries in ensuring that all aspects of the financials are completed timely. Flexibility, ability to work independently, great attention to detail, analytical ability, dedication, and strong teamwork skills are a must.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Payroll
• Responsible for recording inventory production and month-end reconciliation
• Responsible for various duties in the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to the Company’s financial statements
• Various tax filings (sales tax, business tax license, personal property, etc).
• Work in a team environment to complete monthly close process and other projects as needed.
• Willingness to be flexible in duties and have a “get-it-done” attitude, including extended hours when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting with minimum 3-5 years’ general accounting experience.
• Will have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be a motivated self-starter able to work effectively with all divisions with limited supervision
• Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Excellent typing/data entry skills, 10-key by touch
• VISTA by Viewpoint experience a plus
• 3PL Central or other warehouse management software experience a plus
• Construction and trucking/logistics experience a plus
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Must pass post offer drug screen.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the US.
