Who we are looking for:
We are currently seeking for a dynamic Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a group of production workers assigned across multiple production lines and machinery to meet production targets and quality standards.
The primary responsibilities of this role include working with the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor on production planning & scheduling to maximize both people and material resources and keeping the production line operational while maintaining product quality and staff safety. As a people leader, this role will assist the Manufacturing Operations Manager in hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and managing the performance of the Production team.
Manufacturing Operations
Support production schedule that maximizes material and manpower resources to meet objectives and maintain quality output.
Coordinate with Support Departments to ensure production requirements are met.
Supervise and monitor set-ups, operations and breakdowns according to the operational procedures.
Ensure raw material inventory is adequate for scheduled production levels.
Resolve production and material problems with the Supply Chain team to minimize impact on the production schedule.
Active participation in production, quality, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up and supervise shift changeovers.
Maintain a safe, clean, and legally compliant workplace.
Perform other task as may be assigned
Leadership & People Management
Assist in hiring and training production employees.
Help coach, mentor and provide feedback on manufacturing employees’ performance accompanied by training recommendations.
Monitor team attendance.
Assist in dealing with people issues and conflict within the team.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain product quality.
Ensure all personnel comply with training requirements, work standards, policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
Manage manufacturing records and documentation to support accurate and timely production
Ensure documentation necessary for regulatory compliance is completely accurate.
Lead and participate with quality and productivity improvement initiatives.
Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Formal Education:
Post – secondary degree or diploma in related field preferred.
Professional designation is an asset.
Occupation First Aid level 1 or higher is an asset.
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience as a Team Lead preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing.
Ability to train, coach, mentor and manage production staff.
Strong professional and technical expertise.
Strong understanding of the requirements of working in a regulated environment to assure compliance with GMP and Work Safety.
Must have ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.

Well-developed problem solving skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, ability to input data into production ERP program.
Manual dexterity skills.
