The key accountabilities are, but not limited to:

• Preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and principles and local regulations for review and sign off by board of directors.
• Ensure compliance of IFRS and able to apply the IFRS principles applicable to the business context and able to advise business on accounting treatment.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and procedures relating to accounting / financial matters.
• Review of monthly reporting packs
• Perform second review on the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation country by country reporting as per group requirement for CAO review.
• Understanding of divisions’ budgets and forecasts and provides support to the business with funding request where necessary.
• Analyse and understanding of variances in divisions’ actual performance to budgets and monthly fluctuations on the income statement. In depth knowledge of the business operations and revenue streams to identify and mitigate risks that could lead to inaccurate reporting of financial performance.
• Conduct regular review and ensure compliance to Group’s financial monitoring controls.
• Regular review of access in accounting systems.
• Support management with improvement of processes and automation for increased efficiency.
• Understand in detail the working mechanism of each of the financial functions in the SSC and support business needs across functions.
• Continuously look for ways to improve the monthly financial reporting processes in terms of quality, integrity, and efficiency.
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of data migration on system change, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Maintain an adequate internal control system over financial reporting
• Provide support, mentor, and training to direct reports.
• Provide training on accounting standards in the context of the company, particularly on new standard developments to both SSC and business divisions.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal, external, local, and offshore stake holders.
• Key contact for ERP issues and raise of support ticket where necessary.
• Review and approval of manual invoices.
• Review and submit leases on Group mandated tool for IFRS 16 reporting. Perform overall review of IFRS 16 reported to Group.
• Monitoring of hedge contracts, liaising with Accounts Payable and Treasury to ensure minimal forex impact.
• Support CAO with internal and external audits.

Experience/Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified
• 3-5 years post qualification commercial financial accountant experience
• Proven Financial Management Skills
• Ability to Lead/Motivate a team or virtual team

Knowledge

• Ability to analyse results and provide inferences and conclusions
