A Houston area client who provides scientific data and intelligence to companies active in the energy sector is seeking an HR Generalist who enjoys assisting with the entire onboarding process including new hire documentation, screenings, payroll, garnishments, and direct deposit information. This role wears many hats while providing HR services using exceptional interpersonal skills and human resources experience as an HR Generalist. Our ideal candidate will help oversee the employee relationship management system, encourage efficient and effective hiring processes, and instruct clients regarding compliance with employment law.

HR Generalist’s Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the prevention/resolution while ensuring company compliance with employment laws, and regulations
• Provide guidance on effective hiring practices
• Provide frontline support for employees, managers
• Participate in employee development and compliance
• Create job postings (internal and external)
• Conduct phone and face-to-face candidate interviews as needed
• Collect and communicate post-interview feedback
• Track candidate interviewees and status
• Track jobs filled/jobs open – globally
• Prepare offer and approval
• Manage offer process by proposing, preparing, extending, and negotiating offers
• Support other HR Staff with regard to recruitment on a project basis
• Provide support with claims administration benefits
• Records update and maintenance

HR Generalist’s Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as an HR Onboarding Specialist or in a relevant HR role
• Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
• Basic knowledge of labor legislation
• Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
• Team spirit
• An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• BSC degree in Human Resources Management
• Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
• Recruiting or sourcing experience is a HUGE plus
• Knowledge of employment law and best hiring practices
