Role and Responsibilities

RMC is hiring for Network Engineer to support our customers in Indian Head, MD (Main Side). The selected applicant will provide virtual collaboration technology support to US Navy Systems.

Responsibilities

• Applicant must be multi-disciplined with a background in various technical fields to include Network, Firewall, Database, NAS/SAN, Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc) and System Administration.
• Applicant will establish new network environments by designing system configuration and directing system installation
• Provide Architect level expertise, innovative solutions, and primary liaison responsibilities for all new designs/solutions for the RDT&E environment.
• Maintain, design, implement, and support our growing network infrastructure with various creative and enterprise grade solutions.
• Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure multiple systems and service availability and reliability.
• Collaborates with network and system administrators on all network projects, including current and new designs.
• Collaborate with Lab POCs and users to identify new requirements.
• Ensures network system design is enforcing required DON/DOD security policies. This includes documenting and enforcing standards, best practices, and Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGS).
• Applicant must have knowledge in various operating systems to include RHEL, Ubuntu and Windows Server and Workstation.
• Strong scripting in Powershell, Python, Bash, etc is preferred.
• Develop diagrams for all solutions to include network, OS, ports, protocols and application requirements.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong trouble shooting skills is a must.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting system administration for DoD or Federal Programs
• DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certified with Continuing Education (CE) (GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SCNP, SSCP)
• Experience providing Tier II/III end user desktop support services.
• Strong understanding of IT Management and associated cybersecurity principles to include cybersecurity policy, network security, and digital forensics
• Strong knowledge in Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong knowledge in Network, Firewall, Database, NAS/SAN and System Administration
• Certifications from various vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, RedHat, Linux Professional Institute preferred.
• Scripting knowledge in various programming or scripting languages preferred

Security Clearance:

An Interim DoD Secret clearance is required to start. A Top Secret clearance will be required for this position. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

RMC employees may be subject to current COVID protocol requirements in order to access government facilities.
