Resource Energy Hiring for Utility Accounting Auditor Job at Remote Full Time

The Utility Accounting Auditor will be focused on a large-scale energy audit. Other responsibilities include analyzing and reporting energy consumption and costs and other ad hoc services. The role encompasses a detailed and analytically driven framework revolving around energy calculations and accounting.

This opportunity is full time, benefit eligible and remote (Work from Home). Resource Energy supplies all equipment required.

Duties:

• Candidate to complete an audit of all customer utility accounts
• This will check that the client GL coding is correct, notate what the service is for, and update internal and client facing database
• Utilize existing utility databases to audit and map all of the client’s utility accounts
• Communicate variances in our records to the client for updating
• Maintain a project tracking and communication log
• Where information is missing, candidate to communicate to the client and using the escalation framework to obtain the missing information
• Candidate to consolidate the missing information and update our internal and client facing databases

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Energy, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science or similar analytical discipline preferred.
• Previous related work experience with knowledge of accounting concepts, energy calculations, or commercial real estate experience preferred.
• Proficient in using MS Excel to combine and analyze data from various sources and generate reports and graphics. Must be able to combine large volumes of data for consolidated reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience managing large scale projects
• An understanding of basic metering concepts
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to interface with all levels within our clients’ organizations
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management, project management and follow through skills
• Experience with sales force preferred.
