Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Recruitment Liaison is involved in recruitment and retention of qualified nursing personnel to fulfill the objectives and standards of nursing care established by Research Medical Center. The RN Recruitment Liaison is responsible for screening candidates to fill staff nurse positions and temporary staffing needs with qualified agency contract nurses. The RN Recruitment Liaison serves as the liaison with the nursing schools and is responsible for facilitating clinical experiences for nursing students at RMC.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date information regarding local, state, and national nursing availability trends through current literature and networking via phone, letters, meetings, and conferences with other health care recruiters.
• Provides recruitment materials to programs of nursing, and follows up on conference/convention/career fair contacts, including information related to employment and special programs.
• Maintains communication with nurse managers to determine unit needs and to recruit candidates utilizing established framework.
• Works with off-site recruiters to fill nurse vacancies throughout the hospital.
• Develops advertising and other recruitment materials for publication and use in recruitment a activities in conjunction with Human Resources Department.
• Interviews applicants for employment within Research Medical Center, utilizing interview techniques that are consistent with HCA, EEOC and ADA guidelines.
• Screens all applicants for clinical competency, professionalism and minimal requirements (licensure, certifications), and refers the most qualified candidates to unit managers for interviews.
• Maintains communication with candidates via phone, written correspondence, and personal contact from initial inquiry phase through the interview process and upon hire/orientation or no offer / decline status.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse

• Bachelors Degree

• Must exhibit leadership attributes as well as a commitment to the philosophy of Research Medical Center

• Knowledge and skill related to interviewing techniques and the ability to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate recruitment activities for all phases of recruitment and retention are essential

• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)
