About the Role
We are looking for a Research Assistant to support ongoing work in disability inclusion, accessibility, workforce development, policy research, and inclusive technology initiatives.
This role is ideal for students, graduates, researchers, or individuals passionate about accessibility, disability studies, public policy, social impact, education, or community innovation. The position involves supporting research projects, reports, ecosystem mapping, policy reviews, and accessibility-focused initiatives connected to Enabled Talent’s growing work across Canada and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct research related to disability inclusion, accessibility, employment, education, and public policy
• Support data collection, literature reviews, report drafting, and ecosystem analysis
• Assist in identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities within accessibility and workforce systems
• Help prepare presentations, briefing notes, summaries, and research documents
• Support outreach and coordination with community organizations, institutions, and partners
• Assist with accessibility-focused events, projects, and innovation initiatives
• Contribute to research tied to inclusive technology and workforce solutions
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills
• Interest in accessibility, disability inclusion, policy, education, workforce development, or social innovation
• Experience with research, report writing, academic work, or nonprofit/community projects is an asset
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader team
• Familiarity with accessibility or lived experience within disability communities is welcomed and valued
