Reqiva are currently working with a rapidly growing FinTech start up based in London who are looking for a Software Engineer who has experience working with Java/Kafka. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a flat structure, so you the work you do will be noticed from day one!

This is a remote role, but you must be based in the UK. If you can come to London once a month for a team social that is a plus!

To be successful in this role the following experience is needed:

  • At least 2 years of development experience
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn – we’re more interested in the right mentality than a specialism in a specific technology
  • Experience with Java 8 or above, Java Streams, distributed data processing, threading concepts.
  • Experience with Python is desirable but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working in an Agile project environment
  • You have a good understanding of coding best practices and design patterns and experience with code and data versioning, dependency management, code quality and optimisation, error handling, logging, monitoring, validation and alerting

You will be working on core products and have to opportunity to learn new technologies.
