Repligen Hiring for Director, Global Digital Marketing at Waltham, MA Full Time

The Digital Marketing Director will own the translation of the business strategy across Repligen’s innovative bioprocess product portfolio into annual digital demand generating programs and campaigns that drive technology awareness, customer preference and market penetration to generate marketing qualified leads that result in revenue growth. Success will require strong and proven experience in running a B2B global corporate and product website with eCommerce, digital marketing (e-mail, social media, webinars, etc.), and lead generation management for the commercial organization by gaining alignment of different stakeholders in a matrixed organization, managing expectations, and delivering complex projects in a timely manner.

The role is global in nature and s into the SVP of Global Marketing and is a member of the Marketing Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be the expert in digital content and channel optimization, customer experience, segmentation and localization, analytics, and meaningful measurement. He/she must have a record as both a doer and a team leader; someone who can help craft and manage industry leading global marketing programs and tactical communications plans on tight deadlines, with competing priorities and with limited resources. The role owns specific projects while also leads a small team based on the East Coast of the US and in Europe (player and coach).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all online and offline marketing efforts including Customer Journeys, SEO, Paid Search, Marketing Automation, Analytics, Paid Media, Email, Conversion Rate Optimization, Social and Content Marketing, Marketing Automation, Email, social media, Website, eCommerce, webinar platforms, etc.
• Lead, manage, and hold the digital team accountable for all marketing activities, including budgeting, day-to-day performance management, and optimization.
• Define and own the key performance indicators (KPIs), to measure the performance of campaigns and channels; leverage insights to inform future strategy.
• Manage existing Martech tools, drive optimized usage of those tools, and ensure they are integrated as needed with foundational platforms—Pimcore Digital Experience Platform, SalesForce Commerce Cloud (B2B e-commerce), Account Engagement and Marketing Cloud (Marketing Automation), Salesforce CRM (Sales), ing and analytics (Tableau) and SAP ERP (Finance). Help design, implement, and manage new marketing technology solutions as needed.
• Guide the vision through staged execution of our digital marketing technology strategy. Digitally-enable Repligen’s brand and content owners to deliver on our business objectives and support them in optimizing how they use these tools to deliver an improved customer experience and stronger results.
• Work in harmony with product and marketing leads across Repligen, IT, and other key stakeholders; demonstrate positive leadership with the ability to listen, collaborate, and flex leadership style to build trust and consensus.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of existing digital tools—website digital experience platform, marketing automation, sales enablement, media monitoring, analytics, SEO, and other tools.
• Map out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, using both pilots and analytics to determine which methods work and how to scale effectively.
• Define content management protocols and guide marketers to help deliver successful digital marketing campaigns. Use test & target and other tools to promote a culture of testing and fast improvements to the customer’s experience.
• Optimize campaigns across the marketing and sales funnel to maximize leads, pipeline, revenue, and lifetime value while minimizing cost of acquisition.
• Create marketing dashboards that provide a holistic picture of all digital marketing initiatives across all channels in terms of lead generation and opportunity value in the sales funnel.
• Lead the implementation of new web and eCommerce features and new technology platforms, including selection of tool and 3rd party partner if needed, blueprinting, development, testing, prioritization, and analysis to create the roadmap for the Repligen.com and eCommerce platforms over the next 3-5 years in collaboration with the business units, IT and other functions.
• Establishing workflows for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content as well as business management of systems for content management.
• Focus on usability of website, using small improvements to drive adoption and loyalty.

Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, or marketing field. MBA or master’s degree in Marketing is highly preferred. Experience at a global Life Science or Pharma company preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital marketing.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of leadership and management experience of a digital marketing team and a track record in attracting, retaining, and developing talent.
• Experience in User-Centered Innovation and/or Digital User Experience.
• Working knowledge of market/customer segmentation, value proposition development, competitive analysis, marketing communications, and traditional Go-to-Market strategies in a highly technical environment.
• Command of marketing analytic techniques (including A/B testing), customer insights and ability to make data-driven marketing decisions.
• Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and digital marketing solutions.
• Basic technical understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, web publishing, Flash, etc.
• Fluency in web analytics tools (SEMRush, Google Analytics), social media marketing applications (HootSuite, Tweetdeck, etc.) and leading social media monitoring platforms (Radian6, etc.).
• Superb cross-functional, project management and leadership skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
• Appropriately shares own viewpoint and opinions, even when they may be negative or unpopular. Encourages the free exchange of information and opinion.
• Comfortable in a global, fast-paced, rapidly growing and highly matrixed environment.
