A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Do you have exceptional problem-solving skills? Are you comfortable working within, analyzing, and improving an established code base? Can you work well under pressure while quickly delivering high-quality, well-tested, and working features? Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Can you manage your time effectively? If so, you may be perfect for this position!

Working in a collaborative environment as a Software Developer, you discuss, plan, and build features into our product. You develop and write clean, readable, well-tested, and efficient code in whatever language is needed. With each new task, members of the software development team review each other’s work and provide feedback. Your excellent communication skills are essential as you articulate thoughts and ideas.

As a critical thinker, you apply your experience and knowledge to company problems. You estimate development tasks efficiently and relay information to your manager. Because you are a team player and lifelong learner, you actively participate in department meetings and continuing education. Your open mind toward change and new technology allows you to continue to expand your skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of software development experience
• Must be comfortable working in a mixed tech stack environment (depending on what part of our systems you’re working on, we use Python, Angular, C#, JS, SQL, Postgres, React, etc.)

WORK SCHEDULE

Our work schedules are flexible and we support both in-person and remote work. Our remote employees are asked to come to the office once a quarter for team building and collaborative purposes.
