We are looking for a Java software engineer to join our Dunfermline, Scotland based software development team, working on the server-side products within our ATM product line.

What we are looking for –
The Software Engineer is responsible for the development of extensions to the existing Renovite suite of ATM products working as part of the ATM Product Development team.

Key Attributes –

• Strong Java programming skills
• Experienced in using the Spring framework / Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of tooling related to Java development (e.g. Maven/Gradle, Junit)
• A strong understanding of web technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience in developing REST APIs and working with modern data formats e.g. JSON, YAML
• Good working knowledge of SQL databases (e.g. MySQL)
• Familiarity with modern development tools e.g. Eclipse, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools e.g. Jenkins
• Experience of working within an Agile software development team
• A proactive self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills –

• Knowledge of containerisation and cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience of the retail payments software industry
• Experience of the development of ATM software
• Experience of the CEN/XFS standards

Qualifications –

• Formal qualification in Software Development
• Previous experience of working as a Software Engineer
