HR Director

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Rennia Group seeks a strong HR leader who will thrive in a fast-paced, self-motivated environment. We seek a well-qualified HR Director with experience establishing and/or restructuring HR functions. The successful candidate will partner with senior leadership to establish HR best practices that reflect the mission and values of our company and advance our best-in-class company culture and employee experience. You will help the company optimize everyday processes and implement strategic HR plans and technology.

Essential Functions

• Collaborates with the Leadership Team to create, implement and manage the companies HR policies and procedures.
• Support, implement and sustain Human Resource strategies, programs, and initiatives to attract, develop and retain the very best employees.
• Ensures that human resource service delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values, and culture of our company and in alignment with our goals and objectives.
• Advises senior leadership of potential human resources related issues and recommends appropriate solutions.
• Partner with leaders on employee relations issues, including providing fact based, consistent recommendations for performance improvement plans, investigations, and terminations.
• Remains current on relevant company policies and procedures as well as on state and federal laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Interpret and answer policy and HR-related questions consistently.
• Manage and oversight of the recruitment process. Administer the candidate all new hire documentation (employment agreements, background screening, I-9s, benefit documentation, etc.). Manage employee files, ensuring documents are signed, processed, completed, and stored per legal requirements. Troubleshoot constraints.
• Works collaboratively with other HR team members to assure seamless operational and transactional activities for the entirety of an employee’s life cycle at the firm from recruiting through termination.
• Oversees the employee onboarding process to ensure each new employee’s experience is in line with our culture, values, and mission.
• Manages benefits administration process and enhances employee understanding of the companies’ benefits programs through written communication, office meetings, and one-on-one meetings. Manages the open enrollment process from renewal, negotiation, and implementation.
• Manages/conducts exit interviews; provides periodic s to management on trends, feedback, and concerns.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and ing requirements.
• Manages and administers workplace safety, workers compensation and wellness programs.
• Communicates and responds to employee issues, questions, and complaints.
• Manages the company’s employee recognition programs.
• Actively participates on special teams and projects that help drive talent, culture and human resources goals and objectives.
• Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed to support the business and the HR Team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER (KSAOS)

• The ideal HR director will possess in-depth knowledge and experience in all facets human resource management. they will be strategic thinkers and problem-solvers with excellent communication skills.
• SPHR/PHR preferred.
• Working knowledge of HR disciplines (notably recruiting, training, and HR administration)
• Working knowledge of HR technology and systems
• Understanding of federal and state HR laws and regulations
• This position requires a perceptive person, who can relate to and take direction from individuals at all levels and management styles.
• Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions.
• Critical thinking skills, to connect the dots, to use best judgement and apply discretion.
• Has a demonstrated passion for employee engagement and culture.
• Must be articulate, have strong oral and written communication skills, and a professional demeanor.
• Extremely organized with strong prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and can multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities. Project management experience from start to finish.
• Quick learner, with a positive attitude and ability to work well independently and within a team.
• Eager to learn and expand one’s skills and impact with a growing organization.
• Ability to adapt and remain flexible as role evolves.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, 3 of which must be in a Senior HR Leadership role.
• Certified human resources professional (SHRM-SCP or SPHR)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Master’s in HR is a plus
• Must have experience in HR policy development.
• Must have extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage, and salary, laws and regulations.
• Impeccable communication skills
• Must be able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a successful, driven leader that is dedicated to enhancing HR
• Responsible for benefits, compensation, EEO, employee relations, talent acquisition, interpreting and updating policies and procedures, troubleshooting, and resolving HR issues, employee education/training, management development and regulatory/compliance.
• Responsible for labor relations as well as the handling of strategic objectives and business goals.
• Ensure all firm policies and procedures are maintained. Support entire HR life cycle.
• Positions must harmonize the culture, mission, values and quality standards to ensure maximum potential is achieved.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises the HR Manager and one part team member.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This position occasionally requires coverage on weekends or holidays. This can be a hybrid position, but regular physical presence in the office is required in order to maintain team problem-solving, team training, and fulfill client facing responsibilities.

Travel

Occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay for work at other Rennia Group office locations

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must pass Reference and Background check.

STARTING SALARY $85,000. -, salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
