Renfrew Educational Services is a not-for-profit, registered charity operating as an independent school. We are an acknowledged leader in program development for children with special needs. For 49 years Renfrew has offered a wide range of programs and services to children from Calgary and surrounding areas.

We are currently accepting applications for a part-time (0.4 FTE) Social Media Content Creator commencing in February 2023. This is a term position for the duration of a staff person’s leave with an annual schedule of 10.75 months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure our social media content reflects Renfrew’s vision, mission, values and guiding principles.
Envisioning, writing, creating and posting content on social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
Travelling between Renfrew’s locations and programs to help capture and document appropriate content to share of social media.
Creating advertisements out of specific content we want to highlight or promote.
Keeping up to date with popular social media trends or local social media initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Post secondary education in social media/marketing/communication preferred.
At least one year work experience in a similar role.
Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Licensing: Valid Alberta Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is a condition of employment.
A reliable vehicle, auto insurance with a minimum $2,000,000.00 liability and driver’s license is required.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies

Solid understanding and experience with popular social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, etc.).
Creative thinking and passion for social media.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to take high quality photos (on cell phone is okay).
Great interpersonal skills and experience building strong connections with individuals and businesses.
