Job Description
Lalilo’s vision is to create a world of equitable learning outcomes where all students can unleash their full potential as powerful readers and writers. As part of Lalilo’s team, you will help grow an effective K-2 literacy practice tool that inspires a love of reading and builds confidence in young students. As a Curriculum Specialist at Lalilo, you will handle all aspects of our English-language content creation process from planning to publishing. You will also work closely with our product team to build systems that improve Lalilo’s efficacy and further our reach.
The Lalilo team is currently spread between France and the US (currently NYC, Bay Area, and Austin). We are 41 hard-working individuals who care deeply about making a difference in the lives of K-2 students and teachers. As a member of our small (currently 3 people) and growing US curriculum team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence our team organization as we work on building and scaling our team in the next few years.
What you’ll do:
Plan, design, develop, edit, and publish innovative and engaging practice and instructional content based on K-2 literacy standards
Evaluate and revise existing content to increase effectiveness and to meet high-quality standards
Independently manage content-related projects
Participate in strategic conversations with our content and product teams
Engage with teacher and student users to gather product input and feedback
Work with the broader product development team (Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers) to discover, build, and implement new features and improvements to the program
Work within complex organizational and technical structures to independently solve problems and collaborate on improving these structures to increase workflow efficiencies
Monitor and analyze content-related data to identify problem areas, prioritize work, and set goals
Qualifications
You have the following experience:
5+ years experience working directly with K-2 students and teachers, including a minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience
A teaching credential in early childhood, elementary education, or early literacy
A deep understanding of ELA instructional standards and standards-aligned curriculum development and instructional design
You have these skills and mindset:
Outstanding communication (oral, written, presentation), collaboration, and organizational skills
High level of technical skill and excitement about learning to use new tools
Highly detail-oriented
Passion for improving the early literacy learning and instructional experience in US classrooms
A sense of humor and roll-up your sleeves attitude 😉
Bonus points for:
Experience working in the edtech industry
Spanish or French fluency
Experience working with cross-cultural teams
Familiarity with other Renaissance products (Freckle, myOn, AR, STAR, Nearpod)
Editorial, writing, or illustration skills

Salary Range: $54,500 -$81,800 This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
Location and Travel: Fully remote (US)- Our current team members are in NYC and the Bay Area, possible travel 1-2 times a year for team off-sites
