Remx is seeking a Medical Assistant for our client located in the South Los Angeles area.

As a dedicated and experience Medical Assistant working in a family and pediatrics practice, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to their patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in delivering patient care, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring a comfortable and efficient patient experience. $22.00 to 24.00/hour DOE

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and stocking supplies.
• Take and record patient medical history and vital signs.
• Check vitals, height, weight, blood pressure, temperature with patients.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and managing patient billing.
• Checking emails and answering phones
• Give eye exams, test hearing for children.
• Assist in patient education, providing information on treatment plans and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPPA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and other healthcare team members.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience as Medical Assistant in a family and pediatrics practice
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Active / current medical license/certification (CMA, CNA) highly preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and basic clinical procedures
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• CPR certification is a plus.
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety
