The Initiative

Mercor is seeking world-class Visual Designers, Art Directors, and UI/UX Experts to shape the aesthetic and functional reasoning of frontier AI systems. This unique research project leverages your advanced professional experience and exceptional “good taste” to make critical decisions regarding product design, visual presentation, and aesthetic alignment.

Compensation & Structure

🔹 Rate: $80 – $180 USD per hour (approx. $110 – $250 CAD/hr, based on portfolio and experience tier).

🔹 Commitment: Minimum 15 hours per week (100% remote, asynchronous).

🔹 Format: Completely flexible schedule. Payments processed weekly via Stripe or Wise.

What You’ll Do

• Leverage your uncompromising visual standards to evaluate and guide AI-generated product designs, graphics, and visual documents.
• Make definitive, expert-level judgments on visual presentation, typography, spatial composition, and overall aesthetic quality.
• Collaborate asynchronously with leading researchers to train AI models on what constitutes top-tier, professional human design.

• Strict Eligibility Requirements
• ✔️ Experience: Proven track record in senior roles requiring exceptional visual presentation and aesthetic judgment (Art Direction, Senior UI/UX, Lead Graphic Design).
• ✔️ Tools: Advanced, professional-level experience with industry standards (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite). Highly proficient in modern presentation formats (Slides, Sheets, Docs, PDFs).
• ✔️ Language: Native or near-native English proficiency is strictly required.
• ✔️ Location: Candidates must be based in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada.
