Remote Japanese Interpreter Full Time

We are currently hiring experienced Japanese–English Medical Interpreters to join our remote team. In this role, you will provide accurate and real-time interpretation between healthcare providers and patients, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times.

As a Medical Interpreter, you will handle a variety of cases through OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation). Your responsibility is to accurately convey meaning, tone, and intent without adding, omitting, or altering any information.

You will play a key role in supporting patient care by ensuring that language barriers do not affect understanding, diagnosis, or treatment. Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity is essential in all interactions.

Requirements

• Fluency in Japanese and English (C1 level or higher)
• Minimum 1 year of medical interpretation experience
• Experience in OPI and/or VRI is preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent listening, comprehension, and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards (HIPAA compliance)
• Quiet, distraction-free working environment
