POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a remote Senior Software Developer to join our Internal Operations team. Our Internal Operations team is responsible for developing our CRM software to support ReminderMedia’s Sales and Customer Service teams. The Senior Software Developer is responsible for being able to own, build, and fundamentally solve complicated software tasks in our CRM software while working with other team members and employees.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Efficient pragmatic developer, that considers both the short- and long-term maintainability of their code
• Proficient in PHP with heavy emphasis in OOP
• Comfortable working with and refactoring large legacy code bases.
• Developing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong skills in docker preferred, CI/CD experience with GitLab or similar
• Experience with reducing a large service into smaller SOA projects
• Be able to work within event driven processes
• Enjoys working in a mostly backend environment
• Comfortable working in a remote pair programming setting
• Work with other employees in a remote capacity while maintaining excellent communication.
• Work with project management and technology director to understand project goals.
• Be willing to periodically work directly with employees while leveraging the project management team to complete tasks
• Understand common patterns of technical implementation across all our subprojects. Understand and help define project boundaries and clear interfaces between projects.

Experience:

• 5+ years of working with PHP.
• 1-2 years of experience in being the go-to guy on a team, acknowledged by title or not.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 1-2 years of making architecture and technical decisions within a complicated project.

Education: In addition to the necessary skills and experience to perform the responsibilities outlined above, there are a number of traits that a successful candidate will possess.

• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 per year
