Our client is highly reputable provider of care that puts great emphasis and investment into it’s people resources and as such are looking to bring in a new Managerial level hire to the business that will drive recruitment performance, deliver the highest standards of candidate experience and carry out HR project work to benefit the ongoing needs of the business. For this role we are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate strong experience in hiring, prior experience across managing volume recruitment campaigns and can bring strong leadership to small but highly committed internal Team.

Prime Objective of Role

• To lead the recruitment & people function within this busy healthcare business and oversee the entire hiring and onboarding process across this nationwide care business.
• Proactively promote the business as an employer of choice both across the local area and also within the healthcare arena.
• To oversee and ensure that best practice is being applied across all recruitment, retention and employee engagement initiatives across the business.
• Take a lead role in developing the internal ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to be an effective tool in managing the candidate pipeline.
• Develop a robust recruitment and employee journey including onboarding, induction, performance review and retention strategies.
• Proactively develop new initiatives to drive people performance and cultural changes across this fast-paced and growing business across the HR & Recruitment functions.
• Implement projects that will impact on staff development and retention.
• Take the lead on compiling Management Reports and conducting regular audits and reviews of the internal recruitment function.
• Bring innovation to the HR & Recruitment function by challenging existing ways of working and being innovation to compete effectively to hire the best talent possible.

Main Job Functions

• To lead and continually improve the recruitment function at Head Office level and influence the regional hiring processes and activities.
• Working with the Director Team to generate a robust recruitment and retention plan that will motivate and engage and create succession management across the current Team.
• Take the lead across the development of new candidate attraction channels and improve the efficiency of the existing ones.
• Ensure that the business is adhering to care industry regulations and internal Policies relating to Recruitment and HR.
• Uphold, develop and reinforce positive people management strategies backed up by effective working processes and policies.
• Production of regular people related reports including full responsibilty for monitoring KPIs across the HR & Recruitment function.
• Complete all tasks accurately, display competency and ensure deadlines are met, and where not possible, appropriate escalation is made where appropriate.

Core Competencies and Attributes

• Strong levels of IT literacy and an ability to use a variety of business software systems to a practical level.
• A solid working knowledge of people coaching and development techniques would be a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Ability to work in a structured manner and apply great attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills, articulate and capable of interacting with customers and Carers as well as having the ability to assertively deal with conflict situations.
• Exercise good judgement across all your professional relationships.
• Having a positive and creative outlook is essential.
• Clear concise report writing and good presentation skills.
• Ensure all procedures and working practices are carried out in line with relevant Data Protection guidelines.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment managing multiple activities simultaneously.
• Commercially minded, able to prioritise in a business minded manner and manage a changing workload effectively.
