Junior Financial Analyst

Full Time, Permanent

Package: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum + annual company bonus

Working: Monday to Friday

Location: Hybrid Role – Work from Home with some visits to Head Office, Winnersh Triangle – RG41 5TS

We are looking for a part-qualified accountant to join our Financial Reporting team as a Junior Financial Analyst. This hybrid role is a fantastic opportunity to develop within your finance career, and our expanding finance team means there are many opportunities for growth and promotion.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accounting records for Group holding companies (“Hold Co’s”) such as cash books, bank payments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Uploading trial balances for the Hold Co’s into BPC and completing basic additional information on a monthly basis
• Roll forward and update standing data for consolidation on a monthly basis and completing pre month end checks
• Prepare excel upload files for monthly reporting to shareholders and uploading these files into external systems
• Perform detailed analysis on financial data, such as the database of leases held by the group
• Preparing consolidation-related journals and intra group reconciliations and schedules
• Assist with the preparation of disclosure summary information to provide to verify the figures reported on a quarterly basis
• Support the management of the external audit process including preparation of schedules/ reconciliations, liaison with local finance teams and attending audit progress meetings

Requirements:

• Part Qualified accountant
  • Currently studying toward ACCA or CIMA
• 2 years of experience in a financial reporting or management accounting role
• Computer literate with strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS etc)
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
• Good with technology, ability to learn new systems
• Good communication skills (both oral and written)
• A team player
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise workflow around tight deadlines
