What’s the role about?:


Assistant Accountant


Full time, Permanent


Package: £22,000 – £25,000 per annum + pension scheme

Working: Monday to Friday


Location: Home based, with potential ocassional visits to Head Office in London or Winnersh Triangle

We’re hiring for an Assistant Accountant to support the UK based Advantage Smollan Group companies, with specific focus on Flixmedia.


Main responsibilities:
  • Processing purchase and sales Ledger invoices
  • Salesforce (CRM) update for any customer transactions and ensure that the data relating to billing is aligned with the accounting system (D365)
  • Liaising with sales teams for customer updates relating to customer purchase orders, contracts and billing status.
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Preparing suppliers payments in the online banking platform (CashPro)
  • Credit control duties including weekly review of outstanding debt and chasing cash collection
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with daily and weekly tasks
  • Handling queries from suppliers and customers
  • Processing monthly journals into D365
  • Maintaining the fixed assets register
  • Preparing bank reconciliations

You will have:
  • Some financial experience or education such as AAT would be beneficial
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
  • Proactive, informal, and collaborative style, a real team player and a great relationship builder
  • Outstanding levels of commitment. Able to work in a dynamic high-pressure environment with the minimum of supervision, a highly organised and motivated self-starter
  • A team player with a willingness to learn and constructively challenge the status quo
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing business environment
