PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Able to work on steep slopes.
• Able to cut to grade.
• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way including loading, hauling, and dumping on smooth to extremely rough surfaces.
• Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes, and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Knowledgeable of equipment with respect to checking and maintaining all fluid levels and lubrication. General housekeeping.
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $40.00 – $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Los Banos, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred)
