Job Purpose
The HR Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Employee Relations Business Partner and People & Culture Team in supporting Haven Products and assisting with HR activities.
Minimum Education & Skills required

• [CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice or equivalent.
• CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management is an advantage.
• CIPD membership at Foundation or Associate level.
• Knowledge of HR process, polices & procedures, employment legislation and best practices.

Work Experience

• Previous experience working within a busy, multi-site, fast paced environment with a strong foundation in all areas of HR administration an advantage.
• Experience of working autonomously and the ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to build up relationships with all levels of employees within the business.
• People focused with excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and team working skills.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Working as an integral part of the People Team, providing efficient high quality, customer focused HR administration services to several business functions, ensuring the delivery of HR processes and programmes to include, but not limited to, performance and absence management.
• Provide effective management support in developing and maintaining an effective and compliant HR administrative service.
• Assist with the administration and implementation of HR company policies and procedures and be proficient in relation to answering queries for various HR related matters, providing support to Managers and employees as required.
• Focus on all aspects of transactional HR administration, including four weekly and monthly payroll data, absence, T&C change letters, recruitment, on-boarding including contract generation and pre-employment checks.

• Good problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to present proposed solutions.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
