This essential role offers the chance to work with children ages 3-18, providing vital care in both public and private schools for an ESY program running from 5/18 to 6/30—with the potential for continued placement in the next school year for those who excel in the assignment.

Candidates must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State and will be expected to bring their expertise in pediatric and school health to a diverse educational environment. As an integral member of the school community, you will address a variety of healthcare needs, working onsite to maintain a safe and supportive setting for students.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and current NYS Registered Nurse license
• Experience as an RN or LPN/LVN in school settings preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of state health requirements and protocols for school-aged youth
• Proficient in conducting routine health screenings and tests, with accurate and timely reporting
• Able to provide individualized nursing care for children with varying health needs
• Comfortable working across multiple school locations within a district
• Availability to work fully onsite; virtual or remote options are not available

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver day-to-day nursing care for students, including medication administration and emergency response
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and health records in compliance with state and school policy
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and preventative care initiatives
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external healthcare providers to support student wellbeing
• Educate students and staff on health and safety protocols
