Role Description

This is an unpaid volunteer/internship hybrid role for a Regional Scout with the Georgetown Raiders, balancing minimal in-person responsibilities in Georgetown, Ontario, with mostly remote work. The Regional Scout will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recruiting high-potential hockey players who align with the team’s competitive and cultural values. Responsibilities include attending games and tournaments, analyzing player performance, building relationships with players, coaches, and stakeholders, and providing detailed scouting reports for the team management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of hockey fundamentals, player evaluation, and talent identification
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and networking skills
• Proficiency in preparing detailed player evaluations and scouting reports
• Ability to manage schedules for attending games and tournaments
• Comfortable using online tools and platforms for research and communication
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Previous scouting experience or a background in competitive hockey is an asset
• Availability to travel and attend events as required, with a valid driver’s license
