Perspectives Counseling Center is a premier outpatient private practice offering mental health and chemical dependency services in various convenient locations in Southeastern Michigan. We’re seeking a full-time, in-person Patient Care Coordinator for our Troy location.

Compensation:

• The salary range for this position is $14 – $16 per hour.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing reception and clerical support in the clinic’s front office.
• Responsible for receptionist duties, which include scheduling appointments, taking messages, and responding to the needs of patients and callers.
• Positively presents the clinic by offering positive customer relations.
• May create documents and correspondence.
• May assist with clinical records.
• Interacts with clinical staff, collects patient fees, and responds to questions about patient accounts
• Telephone duties
• Courteously greets clients or visitors, maintains sign-in sheet
• New client responsibilities (offer & explain paperwork, verify completion, signatures & consents, obtaining insurance information, and input face sheets).
• Accurately schedule psychiatric and therapy appointments and triage psychiatric calls.
• Schedule new clients appropriately according to staff qualifications and insurance requirements.
• Update client information on a computer system when needed.
• Maintain copay list
• Mail Responsibilities (stamp, send, distribute, make address corrections, and follow up with returned mail).
• Kitchen Responsibilities (clean, refill supplies, make coffee).
• Payment and Billing responsibilities
• Request payment from clients.
• Opening / Closing Related Duties
• PI Responsibilities

Requirements:

• Available to work flexible hours
• Comfortable on computers (EMR experience preferred)
• Exceptional customer service skills
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare office setting

It serves children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and older people. The company was founded by Barry Tigay, Ph.D., in 1983. Dr. Tigay received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Wayne State University in 1977 and interned at Lafayette Clinic in Detroit. Before founding OPC, he was President of Psychological Resources Inc. in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
