We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, conscientious Operational Finance Business Partner to join the Refresco UK Finance Department. This is a permanent position and comes with all the benefits and career development you would expect from a leading drinks company.

The role is based at our Head Office in Kegworth, Junction 24 of the M1 and therefore easily accessible from Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby, and surrounding areas. The role will involve regular travel to Bridgwater and potentially to our other sites across the UK.

About the role

Reporting into the Operations Finance Manager you will take responsibility for partnering predominately with our Bridgwater site for all financial operational and project tasks.

Key responsibilities of this role

• You will own and coordinate the planning and reporting cycles for the areas under your responsibility in collaboration with key stakeholders, particularly factory GM’s.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with key stakeholders, gain credibility as a true business expert. You will have an entrepreneurial mind-set, the ability to develop executable financial insights that improve performance and overall effectiveness of your business unit/site.
• Be particularly meticulous and vigilant in planning, monitoring, and reporting headcount, waste, energy, and maintenance performance.
• Act as the financial conscience of the operations teams ensuring that targets for the areas under your responsibility are met or exceeded.
• Prepare financial calculations / models to support capital expenditure business cases including robust challenge on assumptions to ensure return on investment is maximised.
• Prepare and execute period end tasks (incl. BS reconciliations) at the required standard and time scales and deliver accurate reports on time.
• Maintain all necessary records and prepare all required period end allocations and journals.
• Deliver Ad hoc projects and analysis as required from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

• You will be a qualified in ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA and committed to ongoing development
• You will bring to this role previous experience of working in Business Partnering which you will have gained through working in a similar multi-site manufacturing / FMCG organization.
• Good practical knowledge of working with Finance systems, including ERP / SAP and handling data
• You will have a strong financial planning and analysis and Operational Finance Business Partnering / Management Accounting background
• Experience of providing financial information, challenge and advice to the plant leadership teams.
• Experience of working in a matrix-style organization and managing competing stakeholder requirements.

Skills and Competencies that we are looking for include

• The ability to influence senior decision makers
• Can act as a trusted advisor to leaders in Manufacturing and Supply Chain, including the Plant General Managers and UK board members.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Identify problems at an early stage

Salary & Benefits

The salary for this role is competitive and dependent on experience. We also offer a 5% annual bonus incentive and a good company pension scheme, 2x basic salary life assurance, enhanced pension contributions plus 25 days holiday in addition to bank holidays (with the option to purchase additional holidays). Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30 – 5.00, Fridays 8.30 – 4.00.
