Essential
- 7+ years of commercial software development experience
- Java Web application development
Highly Desirable
- A Chemistry and/or Biology background is advantageous
- Experience of developing Cheminformatics or Bioinformatics software
- Experience of developing software for cloud
- Experience of working as part of a geographically distributed development team
- Experience with Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration practices and procedures
- Experience with Linked Data and RDF-based systems
- Expert in Java or other object-oriented programming language
- Strong analytical problem solver and critical thinking
- Broad technical knowledge of design patterns and object-oriented design
- Unit testing and test-driven development
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
