Reed Business Support Hiring for Sector Growth Officer – Low Carbon / Economic development at Doncaster Full Time

We are looking for a Sector Growth Officer to lead Business Doncaster’s approach to the low carbon sector. You will be responsible for driving the attraction of low carbon businesses to Doncaster and supporting existing businesses to accelerate their decarbonisation plans to deliver new investment and job creation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate major sector-specific enquiries through a proactive and systematic process of lead generation.
• Handle professional enquiries and work with key partners across central government and within the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
• Deliver outcomes related to Inward Investment and Economic Development.
• Work with businesses on the sustainability agenda and have a good working knowledge of the regional and national support mechanisms in relation to investment and business support.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Be flexible and responsive, working to the needs of the service at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills are essential
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is paramount.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or relevant experience.
• Experience in Inward Investment and Economic Development is desirable.
• Experience working with businesses on the sustainability agenda is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of the regional and national support mechanisms in relation to investment and business support.
