Business Systems Manager

Leatherhead, Surrey (Head Office) Remote working considered. 

£45,000 – £50,000 

My client is looking for a self motivated, enthusiastic, well organised person, who thrives in busy environments and someone who is naturally supportive.

You should be able to demonstrate project management skills, experience managing stakeholders within a charity.  Experience managing suppliers and service level agreements, ideally including experience of the full lifecycle including procurement of new suppliers.  Strong understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and commitment to ensuring compliance with fundraising and data protection regulation for supporter information

Key Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to develop and drive forward the organisations data management strategy, manage the team, suppliers and systems and embed good data management practice throughout the organisation.

• Be responsible for the delivery and management of Business Systems and garden tills.

• Work with the Director of Operations and our IT supplier to ensure the business systems integrate with IT services hardware and technical support.

• Strategic leadership for Business Systems, Business Intelligence and Information Management.

• Be responsible for the delivery of the Data and Insight Strategy. Keep abreast of broad technology trends and work with the Senior Leadership Team and Board to build a technology roadmap to support the strategy of the business.

• Recruit and manage a data analyst to provide the management team with accurate s based on data and research.

• Manage the database administration function, currently provided by an external supplier but consideration to be given to bringing the role in-house.

• Build and manage relationships with key database partners. Be the escalation point to mediate and resolve any technical issues arising. Proactively oversee issue management and response to minimise outage or operational impact to the business.

• Manage the business systems budget.

• Support the Digital Marketing manager to prioritise and project manage digital projects and deliverables across the charity.

Experience and Skills

• Experience of managing own projects from start to finish to meet deadlines with multiple stakeholders using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and commitment to ensuring compliance with fundraising and data protection regulation for supporter information
• Experience of line management of staff
• Proven ability to present complex data models and analysis to a variety of audiences.
• Experience managing an income generating CRM, in a charity/business generating over £4m per annum.
• Experience managing stakeholders up and across a charity. An effective communicator in both oral and written English; writes in a succinct, structured way.
• Able to communicate technical processes to non-technical audiences and provide feedback to a range of professionals including at senior level.
• Experience managing suppliers to service level agreements, ideally including experience of the full lifecycle including procurement of new suppliers.
