Innu Inuit Redpath Limited Partnership (IIR) will be the primary contractor on an underground mine infrastructure construction project located on the east coast of Labrador, approximately 350 km north of Goose Bay. Mine infrastructure requirements include the following for both the Reid Brook & Eastern Deeps Mines: ore sizing & conveyor systems, mine dewatering systems, ventilation control installations, paste backfill reticulation systems, underground maintenance, fuel/lube & wash bays, refuge stations, and underground electrical power distribution.

Future mining from the two separate, underground deposits will extend the life of this operation for at least another decade. Both deposits contain Nickel, Copper & Cobalt; 2.54 million tons will be mined annually at peak production.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Attendant Trainee is responsible for performing shipping, receiving, inventory and logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform shipping and receiving functions.
• Generate and maintain up to date accurate filing of documents on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain inventory control of warehouse and containers and U/G Mechanics Shops
• Operate company equipment.
• Assist staging crew with packing goods as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and yard.
• Identify and count parts, materials, and equipment.
• Liaise with logistics vendors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Certificate or Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Inventory Control and/or Logistics Management would be considered an asset.
• 1-2 Years’ experience performing shipping, receiving, inventory and/or logistics.
• Experience in Mining or related industry is preferred.
