What the Account Executive Does

A Red Sage Account Executive has a blend of responsibilities and brings a higher level of strategy, expertise, and evaluation to projects. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a liaison between clients and our creative team, including contractors. You will manage projects against goals and deliverables, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and proactively introducing strategies to address client needs. You should be a great relationship builder capable of establishing credibility and trust in a room full of executive leaders. Account Executives report to the President per project specifications.

Specifically, the successful Account Executive will:

• Manage a portfolio of clients and build strong relationships with each to better anticipate their needs
• Drive diverse projects to completion, including strategic communication and marketing plans, cross-channel campaigns, traditional and digital advertising, website development, social media, multimedia asset development, and more
• Work closely with clients to understand their goals, independently develop strategies, plans, or campaigns to accomplish the objectives, and effectively oversee implementation of every detail for successful execution
• Work closely with Red Sage’s creative department, including programmers, designers, digital and social marketing specialists, to execute projects with excellence
• Analyze website performance variables using Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, or other relevant digital tools; analyze social media performance variables
• Prepare summary performance and return-on-investment reports with recommendations for clients
• Write and edit copy that supports strategic objectives for marketing materials and print collateral, websites and landing pages, blogs, e-newsletters, social media, or news releases
• Check and approve creative or production materials including copy, layouts, and production art, and get client approval of said projects
• Negotiate purchase and placement of advertising buys through traditional media outlets
• Manage the setup and execution of social media advertising on a variety of platforms
• Assist Marketing Director or Vice President of Sales & Marketing in the development and execution of Red Sage marketing and sales initiatives
• Acquire a well-rounded knowledge of Red Sage services and solutions, and generate effective proposals for partners and prospective partners
• Make appearances on behalf of Red Sage, and serve as an ambassador for our company with the highest credibility and integrity
• Research and monitor industry trends to proactively share knowledge with Red Sage’s team, developing an area of subject matter expertise
• Assist in the maintenance of Red Sage databases, including media contacts, media kits, and sample publications
• Other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

• B.A. in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of marketing, digital marketing, media or public relations experience
• Examples of successful project management and execution, including notable achievements
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and simple design tools (Canva, etc.)

The following are a plus:

• Google Ads and Analytics Certified
• Prior experience in an agency or fast-paced environment
• Experience planning and executing paid digital advertising on Google Ads and social media
• Previous experience with marketing data analytics, digital advertising analytics, website management, web, and social media analytics
• Familiarity with WordPress, Joomla, CMS platforms
