This position is located at the Red Rock Job Corps Center, in Lopez PA, and is NOT remote.

The Job Corps’ mission is to help young people ages 16 thru 24 to improve the quality of their lives through vocational and academic training aimed at gainful employment and career pathways.

HOURS:

SWING SHIFT (Saturdays & Sundays 8:00 am to 5: 00 pm; Mondays 3:00 pm to 12:00 am; Tuesdays & Wednesdays 11:30 pm to 8:30 am; OFF Thursdays & Fridays

PRIME SHIFT A Sundays thru Thursdays 3:00 pm to 12:00 am; OFF Fridays & Saturdays

PRIME SHIFT B Tuesdays thru Saturdays 3:00 pm to 12:00 am; OFF Sundays & Mondays

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for working with the Residential team to provide students in their respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement, and success.

Oversee respective dorm area and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. As a “Lead” Residential Advisor, provides mentoring, support, and guidance to Residential Advisor staff. Provides individualized student case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one year of Job Corps or related program experience is required. A valid in-State Driver’s License is preferred.

Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION:

Supervises residential staff as directed and may serve as the Acting Residential/Dorm Supervisor in his/her absence.
