Red Gate Farm Hiring for Farm Camp Counselor at Ashfield, Massachusetts Full Time

Join our team for a summer on the farm! Successful counselors are patient, friendly and have experience with children of different abilities and backgrounds. Camp counselors are responsible for mentoring and leading children ages 5 – 16 on the farm through day and overnight programming. As a counselor, you will build meaningful relationship with youth, work and live in a community, learn to take care of a variety of farm animals and vegetable gardens, and gain valuable leadership skills in the process.  We enjoy delicious farm to table meals, and cozy campfires at night.

*Candidates must also have the ability to participate and lead physical activities such as hiking and farm work.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:

• is able to work in a team and collaborate with fellow counselors

• is compassionate and kind and able to support children as they navigate challenges on the farm

• enjoys working in the outdoors and being in a community setting

• is willing to be trained in various tasks

• is organized and can keep track of daily schedules and activities

• is flexible to changes in daily activities

Employment Details
This position is seasonal, starting June 13 and ending August 5, 2022. Room and board is provided in addition to the salary which is based on experience and qualifications.
