We are looking for a person with broad skills and interests to provide HR and operational support to our management team in either a full-time or part-time capacity. THE JOB

As HR Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and organisation of the firm and will wear a number of hats on any given day. The ideal candidate will be someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who is looking to develop in their career in HR, operations and office administration.

Your responsibilities and duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Being the first point of contact for HR enquiries.
• Assisting the Managing Principal with HR-related administration including recruitment, performance, remuneration, L&D, induction, staffing and work placements, award changes and compliance, developing and maintaining policies and procedures, maintaining employee files.
• Assisting with general office administration including diary management, office coordination, rostering, security logs and access passes and building operations.
• Organising and co-ordinating building maintenance.
• Assisting with tech support and basic help desk enquiries.
• Ensuring compliance with OHS requirements.
• Coordinating firm community and marketing initiatives including assisting to organise events, developing marketing materials, managing LinkedIn pages and providing business development support.
• Developing and maintaining the firm website through updating content, staff changes and careers/events, and monitoring traffic and analytics.
• Assisting with payroll.
• Assisting with other ad-hoc projects as required.
• Providing operational and administrative support in other areas of the firm as needed

ABOUT YOU

Skills

The highest level of confidentiality is essential for this role. You will need to have a mature, common-sense approach with sound judgement and discretion and demonstrate the following skills:

• Excellent computer literacy. Experience with HR3 and OP is not essential but knowledge of HRIS/legal practice management systems would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational and prioritising skills.
• High level of self-awareness and sensitivity in relation to others.
• High level of attention to detail and an analytical mind.
• Tertiary qualification in Business or HR would be useful but not essential.
• Relevant work experience will be viewed favourably.
