Job Description

We are in need of an experienced Store person to coordinate the day to day running of Brisbane’s cross dock. This area of our business is still in the early phases of development and as such this position would suit someone with a strong work ethic and awesome attitude who wants to help us build something great.

Capital Transport specialise in same day metro transport where no two days are the same, this means you’ll have plenty of variety in the tasks you’ll oversee and any opportunity for advancement will be yours to earn.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to ;

  • The everyday running of the warehouse.
  • Executing the dispatch, receiving & order picking process.
  • Regular stock counts.
  • Safe workplace practices.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse.
  • Booking daily freight pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Ensuring constant supply of consumables.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a current QLD driver’s licence.
  • Holding a forklift ticket is desirable but not necessary as we can organise training for you.
  • Have computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Be a quick learner with initiative.
  • Be accurate with good attention to detail.
  • Be dedicated, reliable and have a strong work ethic.
  • Need good customer service skills.
  • Have effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Have proven skills pertaining to forklift operations, truck loading and load restraint.
