Job Description

The role of Lead Test Engineer is to contribute to the testing of the CitrusAd systems. You will work as a core member of the test team and provide leadership and guidance in design and implementation of test solutions. You will be required to work closely with the product team, developers, iteration managers, and designers to ensure appropriate test coverage is conducted and the systems are fit for purpose. Lead Test Engineers are encouraged to work in all aspects of testing, including manual, automated and performance testing. The role will be mentor, provide guidance to Junior Test Engineers across Automation, Manual and Performance Testing.

You Will Be Responsible To

• Provide guidance and leadership to engineers in the test team.
• Assist the director of QE with the design and documentation of test strategies and test plans for all aspects of testing.
• Maintain and refine the existing automation framework for a faster release cycle with better coverage.
• Develop knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices through professional development and training.
• In collaboration with the Director QE and Iteration Managers, ensure timely status and metrics ing to project management and senior management.
• Participate as a core member of one or more squads contributing to the delivery of an initiative.
• Contribute and support technical knowledge transfer activities, work with Test Engineers to support their development and upskilling.

About You

• Experience in leading a test team.
• Extended knowledge in backend testing.
• Understanding of STLC (Software Test Life Cycle) and cloud base infrastructure.
• Understanding of application, database and system design.
• Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Ability to write SQL statements.
• Extended experience in Selenium with Java.
• Ability to work in an agile team and participate in agile ceremonies.
