With double digit revenue and EBITDA growth, this organisation has doubled in size over the last 2 years and have experienced consistent year on year organic and acquisitive growth and has a strategic vision to continue this growth in the coming years. Within the next 3 years, they have plans to triple in size. Due to this strategy a brand-new role has been created for a General Manager to work as part of the executive leadership team ing directly to the Group CEO.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
ing to an entrepreneurial and highly influential Group CEO, this General Manager will own and manage the full function from managing relationships with key customers and suppliers/manufacturers to delivering sales, growth and profitability targets. You will own the development of the business strategy though to in-market execution, including P&L end-to-end and co-responsibility of the balance sheet and cash flow.
The General Manager will act as a true partner and 2IC to the CEO, board and Executive Leadership Team to provide ongoing strategic growth, leadership, strategy, transformation and operational execution.
As the General Manager, you will take full ownership for developing and executing on a strategic sales roadmap whilst championing the cultural values and heartbeat of this organisation as well as developing and mentoring the team. This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its aggressive hyper-growth ‘expansion phase’ whilst implementing best practice processes and procedures throughout the organisation. You will act as the “confidant” and “right hand person” to the CEO and executive leadership team. Critical to the role will be developing a vision for superior service across the organisation, driving the performance of the team and taking them out of their comfort zone.
This role not only requires an excellent technical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

You may be a high performing Finance Leader, Commercial Manager, National Operations Manager or National Sales Manager with a burning desire to step change your career into a fast growth and highly strategic executive leadership role where you can truly make a difference and own the entire function working in an organisation that is extremely successful and leading well above the industry.
Overall, you have a track record of adding value through an absolute understanding of key business drivers; the capacity to drive change; and the ability to influence performance.
This is currently a hyper growth scale up business which will in the next 2-3 years, be a relatively large business, therefore, you must display the hunger, energy and drive that you are willing to be hands-on, not afraid of a challenge whilst having the gravitas to communicate and influence an impressive Executive team and Board.

The General Manager needs to have immediate credibility and be able to earn the trust and confidence of the CEO, the Board and the executive leadership team. They will demonstrate proven commercial acumen and strategic thinking supported by a high level of competency in general management. You will have experience in working with, advising and/or supporting CEO/Boards/Executive Leadership team.
