ABOUT THE ROLE:

ing to a highly influential CFO, this Finance Manager will support the delivery of major finance objectives as the organisation aims to continue its growth journey. The Finance Manager will act as a true partner and 2IC to the Finance Director, CEO and Executive Leadership Team to provide ongoing strategic support, change management, transformation and efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for leading and driving new improvements across ing, FP&A and best in class processes.

As the Finance Manager, you will take full ownership for the strategic delivery of business results. The Finance Manager has primary day-to-day responsibility for supporting business strategies to add value beyond finance across a broad range of stakeholders and providing leadership to the finance team. The key success factor will be your ability to business partner to deliver key results and improvements.

This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a true partner to the Executive Leadership Team to support business strategy and financial direction;
• Leadership – lead, manage, inspire and nurture the finance team (including your 4 direct s), developing meaningful performance management and development plans;
• Financial stewardship and custodian – manage and oversee the finance function including timely delivery of month end and year end processes, internal controls and audit, commercial planning and ing including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and other relevant information;
• Financial Planning & Analysis – manage and oversee the commercial planning and ing function including budgeting, forecasting and annual planning process for your division ensuring strategic alignment to business objectives as well as partnering with cross functional leaders across the organisation;
• Business Performance Analysis – Provide insights and build business acumen through analysis of data to support commercial decision making;
• Commercial management – pro-actively driving risk & opportunity analysis, contract negotiation, trading terms, financial modelling and business cases;
• Provide support across M&A business integrations and financial negotiations;
• Assess financial performance across the business to devise and refine key deliverables and KPIs to meet financial objectives;
• Spearhead improvements and best practise across finance transformation including new ing, systems and processes;
• Work closely with leadership team on long term strategic business plans;
• Be a key project lead for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the finance group.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA qualified and has proven experience in leading highly engaged teams. They will have a strong understanding of coordinating month-end close yet be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen in everything they do. The candidate will be highly influential and create a positive working environment. The ideal candidate is confident engaging in discussions with key stakeholders with the ability to build effective working relationships.

• Commercial finance acumen with a proven track record of actively driving commercial agendas across the business.
• Affinity with business systems and financial processes – experience with ERP systems as well as experience with Power BI will be advantageous although not essential.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data and identify risks and opportunities.
• Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders.
• Pro-active and customer focused, continuous improvement mind set.
• Superior stakeholder management, including advanced influencing and negotiation skills.
• Experience dealing with external consultants such as auditors and/or tax consultants.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
• Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints.
