Due to this strategy a brand-new role has been created for a Corporate Accounting Manager to partner closely with the senior leadership team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be play a central role in driving transformation of the finance function, delivering end of month ing for the group of companies, meeting statutory ing obligations, taxation and external audit. You will be exposed to a variety of projects and your success will be measured on your ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced ever changing environment.

The purpose of the role is to assist the Group Financial Controller by building a best-of-breed technical finance function thus enabling commercially responsible decision making. This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its aggressive growth phase through the building of strong foundations supported with a strong process and controls framework.

As the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will support the Group Financial Controller’s remit in ultimate accountability for risk management across the company. Critical to the role will be developing a “Vision” for superior service in finance. This will involve driving automation and creating efficiencies in back-office processes. The key success factor will be your ability to business partner with the leadership team through the development of performance targets and delivery of business results.

This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Standardising the group control environment by assisting with the development and roll-out of group policies (depreciation, leases).
• Help manage the external audit and preparation of the statutory financial statements and analytics, including addressing audit findings and recommendations.
• Assist with Treasury and Tax management tasks (bank requests, covenants, debt reconciliations, bank guarantees, cash-flow forecasting and cash-flow management).
• Manage the intercompany and reconciliation process, including policy development and enforcement.
• Assist with other Group accounting and related policy development and monitoring of related compliance as needed.
• Help with Technical accounting and related guidance for Business Unit Financial Controllers where required.
• Business partner with BU Financial Controllers in continued process improvement to align ing timelines.
• Help with Group Projects (ERP implementation) as they arise.
• Assist with the 5-year plan, annual budget and forecasting, if needed.
• Other ad-hoc areas of analysis not listed above.

You will also support the Senior Finance Leadership Team including the CFO and Head of Commercial Finance with the following:

• Integration, Synergies, and Finance Systems and Processes, including the review of existing org structure and system architecture.
• Strategy development and execution, which includes reviewing existing models, data and development for the 5-year model and plan.
• ing development and production, including a best practice Board and FP&A cadence with the business.
• Budget development including reviewing the existing process and models and developing and managing new ones.
• Performance Improvement, including gathering initial R&Os, KPIs and monitoring performance.
• Investing Capex related, including analytical support to understand implications for strategic plan, and longer term in establishing templates, models and processes for the approval of investing capex.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

You are CA/CPA qualified with a strong passion for business and financial management. Beyond a high performance and outstanding career profile, you have a burning desire for supporting growth through effective business partnering and commercial decision support. You will bring to the role strong knowledge of AASB/IFRS standards and local taxation regime/rules. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional and is confident engaging in discussions with senior executives.

This role would suit a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and dives into the work, taking on tasks with little prompting and supervision.

Big 4/Mid-Tier chartered first or second movers are encouraged to apply.
