LOCATION:

Sydney Inner West – free parking available on-site and close to public transport. Hybrid working and flexibility also available – 2 days work from home.

ENGAGEMENT:

Initially this will be a 3 month contract position with strong view for permanent. This is a permanent headcount position. Immediate start is preferred.

SALARY:

Excellent hourly rate on offer + Super + Benefits (depending on experience).

Working closely with the Financial Controller and an impressive leadership team, you will be instrumental in working cross functionally with the business. This will be a broad role requiring you to be hands on and work across the business to support the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ing to a high performing Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the month end and year end close including reconciling balance sheet accounts and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
• Journal creation and uploading;
• Monthly reconciliations and analysis of accounts assigned;
• Review intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany accounts;
• Bank reconciliations;
• Support the budgeting and planning processes;
• Help troubleshoot and resolve accounting and financial ing issues;
• Assist the Finance Manager with ing, budget preparation and auditor visits;
• Involvement in the company’s tax compliance, preparing the monthly BAS return, assisting Financial Accountant in preparation of the FBT and Income Tax returns.
• Analyse financial and performance data to provide insights to management;
• Continually identify and assess opportunities to improve, including streamlining and automation of ing;
• Effectively engage, partner and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders; and
• Ad-hoc project work to assist the business with making informed decisions.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate is an up-coming high performer who is willing to be hands on and is happy learn and grow. Our client is not necessarily concerned about years of experience but more focused on your potential and attitude. Our client is really seeking someone who has strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn accounting and tax but more importantly someone who is caring, collaborative and a team player. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to speak up and communicate effectively across the Accounting team and not be afraid to ask questions to facilitate their growth. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the end-to-end function of the Finance team. Key to your success will be your strong communication skills and ability to work with all stakeholders across different divisions.
