About the role:

You will:
- Be responsible for greeting visitors and providing assistance in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Efficiently manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including sorting emails and promptly responding to inquiries.
- Handle scheduling appointments and meetings.
- Assist with data entry and record-keeping when needed to contribute to the seamless functioning of our office.
- Support the administrative team by tackling ad-hoc tasks and projects with enthusiasm and efficiency.

Further role information:
The role is primarily based in the student-facing Faculty Office located in the John Bull Building on North Campus. However, occasional travel to other University sites – particularly the Main Campus – may be required. An essential requirement of this position is the ability to travel to and work across multiple University locations and/or other business sites, some of which may not be easily accessible by public transport. Further details are outlined in the job description.
This is a a fixed-term basis to cover a secondment until July 2027.
Your working pattern will be during office open hours, as below:
8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
8.30am – 4.00pm Friday
Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home.

What we’re looking for:
An organised individual with the ability to problem solve and good time management.
Additionally you will have:
- Experience in an administrative role within a customer service environment
- Previous experience in a receptionist role or working within a medical/education environment is desirable
- Experience handling challenging customer interactions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and databases
